Does your air carrier have a permit for your international flight?
The Agency issues permits for international charter flights, including for passenger charters originating in Canada that charterers or tour operators resell to the public.
To find out if a permit is required for your flight, first ask your travel agent or tour operator if your flight is scheduled or chartered. If it's scheduled – no permit is required. In fact, 99% of international flights that originate in Canada are scheduled.
If your flight is international and confirmed as a charter, you can contact us to find out if an Agency permit was issued. In your request, please include the name of the air carrier, the name of the charterer or tour operator, and the origin, destination and date of the flight.
