APPLICATION by Subsea 7 Canada Inc., pursuant to the Coasting Trade Act, S.C., 1992, c. 31, for a licence.
APPLICATION
Subsea 7 Canada Inc. applied, through its representative, for a licence to use the “SEVEN HAVILA”, a dive support vessel from the Isle of Man, to perform saturation diving operations for construction activities in order to accelerate the completion of the Riser/Flowline Replacement Project at the Terra Nova oilfield, offshore the east coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, commencing October 3 and ending November 2, 2012.

FACTS AND DETERMINATION
The applicant contacted the operators identified by the Canadian Transportation Agency (Agency) staff and no Canadian ships were offered. Therefore, the Agency determines that there is no suitable Canadian ship available to perform the activity.
The Agency is providing this determination to the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness to consider whether to issue the licence. This Decision is not an authority to operate.
