Certificates of Fitness for federally-regulated railways

The Agency issues certificates of fitness to parties intending to construct or operate a railway under federal jurisdiction once it determines that adequate liability insurance is in place. It can also modify, suspend or cancel a valid certificate to reflect changes to rail operations.
