APPLICATION

Technip Canada Limited applied, through its representative, for a licence to use the “NORTH SEA GIANT”, a Maltese off shore multi-purpose ship, to perform operations between the Central Drill Centre (CDC) and the SeaRose Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit in the White Rose Field Development. The operation will start June 1 and will end on August 15, 2016.

FACTS AND DETERMINATION

Canadian Transportation Agency (Agency) staff gave notice of the application to the Canadian marine industry and no Canadian ships were offered. Therefore, the Agency determines that there is no suitable Canadian ship available to perform the activity.

The Agency is providing this determination to the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness to consider whether to issue the licence. This Decision is not an authority to operate.
