Decision No. 181-A-2011
May 16, 2011
APPLICATION by Pacific Rim Helicopters Ltd. for suspension of Licence No. 080034.
File No. M4210/P381-1
Pacific Rim Helicopters Ltd. (Licensee) is licensed to operate a domestic service, small aircraft and all-cargo aircraft.
Pursuant to paragraph 63(2)(b) of the Canada Transportation Act, S.C., 1996, c. 10, as amended (CTA), the Canadian Transportation Agency (Agency) may suspend the licence in accordance with a request from the Licensee.
Accordingly, the Agency, pursuant to paragraph 63(2)(b) of the CTA, suspends the licence.
To reinstate the licence, the Licensee is provided with one year to file an application. If, at that time, the Agency concludes that the Licensee meets all the applicable requirements of the CTA, the Agency will reinstate the licence.
If within one year the application for reinstatement is not filed or the Licensee does not meet any of the applicable requirements of the CTA, the Licensee is provided with an additional 30 days following the expiry of one year to show cause why the licence should not be cancelled.
