IN THE MATTER OF the operation of a scheduled international service by Canadian Airlines International Ltd. carrying on business under the firm name and style of either Canadian Airlines International or Canadi*n - Licence No. 880680.

WHEREAS under Licence No. 880680, Canadian Airlines International Ltd. carrying on business under the firm name and style of either Canadian Airlines International or Canadi*n (hereinafter the Licensee) is authorized to operate a scheduled international service between Canada and Israel;

WHEREAS by Diplomatic Note No. 0924 dated October 2, 1989, the Government of Canada has designated Air Canada in lieu of Canadian Airlines International Ltd. carrying on business under the firm name and style of either Canadian Airlines International or Canadi*n1 to provide the aforementioned service;

WHEREAS in light of the above-noted amendment in the designation, the National Transportation Agency has determined that the Licensee ceases to have the qualifications necessary for the issuance of the said licence; and

WHEREAS the Agency has reviewed the matter and considers it appropriate to cancel Licence No. 880680.

IT IS ORDERED THAT:

Licence No. 880680 is hereby cancelled, pursuant to paragraph 92(1)(a) of the National Transportation Act, 1987, R.S.C., 1985, c. 28 (3rd Supp.).
