IN THE MATTER OF Licence Nos. 900004 and 890196 - Canadian Aviation Express Airlines Inc. carrying on business as Crownair.

WHEREAS under Licence No. 900004, Canadian Aviation Express Airlines Inc. carrying on business as Crownair (hereinafter the Licensee) is authorized to operate a domestic service;
AND WHEREAS under Licence No. 890196, the Licensee is authorized to operate a Class 9-4 Charter non-scheduled international service using fixed wing aircraft in Group G;
AND WHEREAS by Order No. 1990-A-102 dated March 16, 1990, Licence Nos. 900004 and 890196 were suspended, effective March 17, 1990, pursuant to paragraphs 75(1)(a) and 97(1)(a), respectively, of the National Transportation Act, 1987, R.S.C., 1985, c. 28 (3rd Supp.), for failure by the Licensee to file a valid certificate of insurance with the Agency, and the Licensee was required to show cause by April 16, 1990 why the said licences should not be cancelled pursuant to paragraphs 75(1)(a) and 97(1)(a), respectively, of the National Transportation Act, 1987;
AND WHEREAS to date, the Licensee has failed to either file with the Agency the required certificate of insurance or to respond to the show cause Order;
AND WHEREAS the Agency has determined that the Licensee ceases to have the qualifications necessary for the issuance of the said licences;
AND WHEREAS the Agency has reviewed the matter and considers it appropriate to cancel Licence Nos. 900004 and 890196.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT:
Licence Nos. 900004 and 890196 are hereby cancelled pursuant to paragraphs 75(1)(a) and 97(1)(a), respectively, of the National Transportation Act, 1987.
