IN THE MATTER OF the operation of a Class 9-4 Charter non-scheduled international service and a domestic service by Vancouver Helicopters Inc. - Licence Nos. 883136 and 883137.

WHEREAS under Licence No. 883136, Vancouver Helicopters Inc. (hereinafter the Licensee) is authorized to operate a Class 9-4 Charter non-scheduled international service using rotating wing aircraft having a maximum certificated take-off weight not greater than 4,409 pounds;

AND WHEREAS under Licence No. 883137, the Licensee is authorized to operate a domestic service;

AND WHEREAS by registered letter dated May 22, 1996, Licence Nos. 883136 and 883137 were suspended pursuant to subsections 97(1) and 75(1), respectively, of the National Transportation Act, 1987, R.S.C., 1985, c. 28 (3rd Supp.) (hereinafter the NTA, 1987), for failure by the Licensee to hold a valid operating certificate. The Licensee was required to show cause within twenty-one (21) days from the date of the letter why Licence Nos. 883136 and 883137 should not be cancelled pursuant to subsections 97(1) and 75(1), respectively, of the NTA, 1987;

AND WHEREAS by letter dated June 13, 1996, the Licensee has requested the cancellation of its licences;

AND WHEREAS the Agency has reviewed the matter and considers it appropriate to cancel Licence Nos. 883136 and 883137.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT:

Licence Nos. 883136 and 883137 are hereby cancelled pursuant to subsections 97(2) and 75(2), respectively, of the NTA, 1987.
