Order No. 2012-A-74

February 16, 2012

CANCELLATION of Cielos Del Peru S.A.’s Licence No. 020078.

File No.:
M4212/C534-2

In its Order No. 2012-A-12 dated January 10, 2012, the Canadian Transportation Agency (Agency), pursuant to paragraph 75(1)(b) of the Canada Transportation Act, S.C., 1996, c. 10, as amended (CTA), suspended the non-scheduled international licence of Cielos Del Peru S.A. (Licensee). The Agency took this action because the Licensee did not have the prescribed liability insurance coverage. The Licensee was provided with 30 days to show cause why the licence should not be cancelled.

To date, the Licensee does not have the prescribed liability insurance coverage and has failed to show cause why the licence should not be cancelled.

The Agency concludes that the Licensee does not meet the applicable requirements of the CTA.

Pursuant to paragraph 75(1)(b) of the CTA, the Agency must cancel the licence.

Accordingly, the Agency, pursuant to paragraph 75(1)(b) of the CTA, cancels the licence.
