Northland Air Manitoba Limited (hereinafter the applicant) has applied to the National Transportation Agency to operate the service set out in the title. The application was received on March 8, 1989.
Under Licence No. 880352, the applicant is authorized to operate a Class 3 Specific Point domestic service using fixed wing aircraft in Groups A, B, C, D and E serving the points Winnipeg, Thompson, Island Lake, points on Gods Lake (i.e. God's Lake, God's Lake Narrows, God's River), Red Sucker Lake, Oxford House, Gillam/Bird, Jenpeg and Churchill, Manitoba; and Sandy Lake, Ontario except in serving the point Oxford House where it is restricted to Groups D and E aircraft.
Notice of the application was published on March 31 and April 3, 1989 in the newspapers of the areas concerned and copies of the notice were sent to selected air carriers and to others believed to be interested. The notice was also posted at the post offices of God's Lake, God's River, God's Lake Narrows, Red Sucker Lake, Oxford House, Gillam/Bird, Jenpeg and Sandy Lake. No interventions opposing the granting of the application were filed with the Agency. Accordingly, the application is hereby approved.
A new document of licence, bearing Licence No. 880352, to operate a Class 3 Specific Point domestic service serving the points Winnipeg, Thompson, Island Lake, points on Gods Lake (i.e. God's Lake, God's Lake Narrows, God's River), Red Sucker Lake, Oxford House, Gillam/Bird, Jenpeg, Churchill and The Pas, Manitoba; and Sandy Lake, Ontario, will be issued to Northland Air Manitoba Limited upon the applicant establishing to the satisfaction of the Agency that it meets the requirements set out in paragraph 72(2)(a) of the National Transportation Act, 1987, S.C. 1987, c. 34.
