APPLICATION
Secunda Canada LP applied, through its representative, for a licence to use the “SEABED PRINCE”, a Norwegian offshore supply ship, to accommodate a team using remotely operated vehicles to install grout bags, reinforced bars and weighted mattresses at the export pipeline, near the Thebaud platform located in the Sable Island gas field, east of Halifax, Nova Scotia, commencing January 15 and ending February 28, 2015.

FACTS AND DETERMINATION
Canadian Transportation Agency (Agency) staff gave notice of the application to the Canadian marine industry and no Canadian ships were offered. Therefore, the Agency determines that there is no suitable Canadian ship available to perform the activity.
The Agency is providing this determination to the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness to consider whether to issue the licence. This Decision is not an authority to operate.
