APPLICATION by Air Methods Corporation doing business as Air Methods Corporation International doing business as Air Methods Corp. doing business as Air Methods, Inc. doing business as Air Life for amendment of Licence No. A.T.C. 1861 to authorize the Licensee, in respect of traffic originating in Canada, to enplanement of such traffic in the Provinces of British Columbia and Ontario.

Air Methods Corporation doing business as Air Methods Corporation International doing business as Air Methods Corp. doing business as Air Methods, Inc. doing business as Air Life (hereinafter the applicant) has applied to the National Transportation Agency, pursuant to the National Transportation Act, 1987, S.C. 1987, c. 34, and in accordance with the Nonscheduled Air Service Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America signed May 8, 1974, for the amendment set out in the title.

Under Licence No. A.T.C. 1861, Air Methods, Inc. doing business as St. Mary's Air Life doing business as Air Life is authorized to operate a Class 9-4 Charter non-scheduled international service to transport traffic between points in Canada and points in the United States of America. By Diplomatic Note No. 464 dated October 27, 1988, the carrier's designation has been amended by the Government of the United States of America to read Air Methods Corporation doing business as Air Methods Corporation International doing business as Air Methods Corp. doing business as Air Methods, Inc. doing business as Air Life.

Condition No. 6 of the said licence states that the Licensee is authorized, in respect of traffic originating in Canada, to enplanement of such traffic in the Provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan.

The Agency has considered the application and, as the pertinent terms and conditions of the Nonscheduled Air Service Agreement have been complied with, the Agency has determined that it is in the public interest to issue to the applicant a non-scheduled international licence authorizing the Licensee, in respect of traffic originating in Canada, to enplanement of such traffic in the Provinces of British Columbia and Ontario.

A replacement licence to operate a Class 9-4 Charter non-scheduled international service will be issued to Air Methods Corporation doing business as Air Methods Corporation International doing business as Air Methods Corp. doing business as Air Methods, Inc. doing business as Air Life upon the applicant establishing to the satisfaction of the Agency that it meets the requirements set out in subsection 94(1) of the National Transportation Act, 1987.

The replacement licence to be issued pursuant to subsection 109(3) of the National Transportation Act, 1987 shall, pursuant to this Decision, be subject to the following additional condition:

The Licensee is authorized, in respect of traffic originating in Canada, to enplanement of such traffic in the Provinces of British Columbia and Ontario.
