APPLICATION by Island Air Flight School & Charters Inc. to continue the suspension of Licence Nos. 962453 and 967188.

File Nos. M4210/I66-1
M4210/I66-2

In its Order No. 2008-A-1-eng">2008-A-1, the Canadian Transportation Agency (Agency), pursuant to paragraphs 63(2)(b) and 75(2)(b) of the Canada Transportation Act, S.C., 1996, c. 10, as amended (CTA), suspended the domestic and non-scheduled international licences of Island Air Flight School & Charters Inc. (Licensee).

In its Decision No. 11-A-2009-eng">11-A-2009, the Agency suspended the licences again at the request of the Licensee and provided the Licensee with one year to file an application to reinstate the licences. If within one year the application for reinstatement was not filed, or the Licensee did not meet any of the applicable requirements of the CTA, the Licensee would be provided with an additional 30 days following the expiry of one year to show cause why the licences should not be cancelled.

In response to the Decision, the Licensee has requested that the licences remain suspended and not be cancelled.

Due to the lengthy time the licences have been suspended, the Agency orders that the licences remain suspended for a further 90 days during which time the Licensee is required to meet all the applicable requirements of the CTA or the licences will be cancelled without further notice.
