Administrative Burden Baseline Count and Annual Updates (2024)

In its Red Tape Reduction Action Plan, the Government committed to build on the efforts of the Paperwork Burden Reduction Initiative by requiring departments and agencies, through the Administrative Burden Baseline, to provide a count of the requirements in federal regulations that impose an administrative burden Footnote 1 on business.

Overview

The Administrative Burden count for the Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) did not change in 2024 during the period of July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024.

Summary

All federal regulations that are administered by the CTA with requirements imposing administrative burden on business during the reporting period are identified below.

The CTA’s total count of administrative burden requirements during the reporting period has not changed from the 2023 count of 482. The original ABB count, dated back to the June 30, 2014 baseline, was 545.
