Flair Airlines penalized for violations of the APPR

April 2, 2026 – Gatineau, QC – The Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) has issued administrative monetary penalties totalling $66,000 against Flair Airlines for violations of the Air Passenger Protection Regulations (APPR).

On or about June 14, September 6, November 5, and 26th, 2025, Flair Airlines committed four violations of subsection 5(2) of the APPR by failing to make available, in simple, clear and concise language, on documents on which the itinerary of passengers appears, the terms and conditions referred to in subsection 5(1) of the APPR.

On or about those same dates, Flair Airlines also committed four violations of subsection 5(3) of the APPR by failing to provide, in simple, clear and concise language, on documents on which the itinerary of passengers appears, information on the treatment of passengers and minimum compensation owed by the carrier and the recourse against the carrier available to passengers, including their recourse to the CTA.

Flair Airlines has until May 2, 2026, to request a review before the Transportation Appeal Tribunal of Canada.
