Porter Airlines (Canada) Limited

Contravention

(A) On or about January 21, 2024, Porter Airlines (Canada) Limited failed to ensure a member of personnel who may be required to interact with the public or to participate in making decisions or in developing policies or procedures in relation to the requirements of these Regulations, received training that provides an adequate level of knowledge and skills to carry out their functions, including training with respect to the requirements of these Regulations and the policies and procedures of the transportation service provider with respect to persons with disabilities, thereby contravening subsection 16(1) of the Accessible Transportation for Persons with Disabilities Regulations.

(B) On or about February 1, 2024, Porter Airlines (Canada) Limited failed to provide a written notice, within 10 days, to a person with a disability that set out the reasons for the refusal to transport the mobility aid of that person on flight PD360 on January 21, 2024, thereby contravening subsection 48(a) of the Accessible Transportation for Persons with Disabilities Regulations.

(C) On or about February 1, 2024, Porter Airlines (Canada) Limited failed to provide a written notice, within 10 days, to a person with a disability that set out the reasons for the refusal to transport that person on flight D360 on January 21, 2024, thereby contravening subsection 60(2) of the Accessible Transportation for Persons with Disabilities Regulations.
