Canadian Yacht Charters applied for a licence to use the "SUMMER BREEZE", an American yacht, for bare boat chartering in the North Channel and around the Manitoulin Island, Ontario, commencing on May 15, 2008 and ending on October 31, 2008.

Is there a suitable Canadian ship available to perform the activity?
FACTS AND DETERMINATION
Canadian Transportation Agency (the Agency) staff gave notice of the application to the relevant portion of the Canadian marine industry and no Canadian ships were offered. Therefore, the Agency determines that there is no suitable Canadian ship available to perform the activity.
The Agency is providing this determination to the Minister of Public Safety to consider whether to issue the licence. This decision is not an authority to operate.
