IN THE MATTER OF Licence Nos. 882890, 882892 and 882891 - Stratford Airways (1987) Ltd.

WHEREAS under Licence No. 882890, Stratford Airways (1987) Ltd. (hereinafter the Licensee) is authorized to operate a Class 4 Charter domestic service from a base at Stratford, Ontario, using fixed wing aircraft in Groups A and B;
AND WHEREAS under Licence No. 882892, the Licensee is authorized to operate a domestic service;
AND WHEREAS under Licence No. 882891, the Licensee is authorized to operate a Class 9-4 Charter non-scheduled international service using fixed wing aircraft in Groups A and B;
AND WHEREAS the Agency was advised that the Licensee has returned its Operating Certificate to Transport Canada;
AND WHEREAS the aforementioned licences were returned to the Agency on November 24, 1989;
AND WHEREAS the Agency has determined that the Licensee ceases to have the qualifications necessary for the issuance of the said licences;
AND WHEREAS the Agency has reviewed the matter and considers it appropriate to suspend Licence Nos. 882890, 882892 and 882891 and to require the Licensee to show cause why the said licences should not be cancelled.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT:
- Licence Nos. 882890 and 882892 are hereby suspended pursuant to paragraph 75(1)(a) of the National Transportation Act, 1987, R.S.C., 1985, c. 28 (3rd Supp.) and Licence No. 882891 is hereby suspended pursuant to paragraph 97(1)(a) of the National Transportation Act, 1987.
- The Licensee is hereby required to show cause within 30 days from the date of this Order why the said licences should not be cancelled pursuant to paragraphs 75(1)(a) and 97(1)(a) of the National Transportation Act, 1987.
This Order shall form part of Licence Nos. 882890, 882892 and 882891 and shall remain affixed thereto as long as the said Order is in force.
