Order No. 2010-A-28
January 19, 2010
CANCELLATION of Mac Air (2003) Ltd.'s Licence Nos. 030067 and 030068.
File Nos. M4210/M277-1
M4210/M277-2
In its Decision No. 592-A-2008 dated November 25, 2008, the Canadian Transportation Agency (Agency), pursuant to paragraphs 63(2)(b) and 75(2)(b) of the Canada Transportation Act, S.C., 1996, c. 10, as amended (CTA), suspended the domestic and non-scheduled international licences of Mac Air (2003) Ltd. (Licensee). The Agency took this action because the Licensee did not hold a valid Canadian aviation document and did not have the prescribed liability insurance coverage. The Licensee was provided with one year to file an application to reinstate its licences.
To date, the Licensee has failed to file an application to reinstate its licences. Also, the Licensee does not hold a valid Canadian aviation document and does not have the prescribed liability insurance coverage.
The Agency concludes that the Licensee does not meet the applicable requirements of the CTA.
Pursuant to subsection 63(1) and paragraph 75(1)(a) of the CTA, the Agency must cancel the licences.
Accordingly, the Agency, pursuant to subsection 63(1) and paragraph 75(1)(a) of the CTA, cancels the licences.
