CANCELLATION of Steve Konopelky carrying on business as Konopelky Air Service's Licence No. 962461.

File No. M4210/K35-1

In its Order No. 2009-A-616 dated December 21, 2009, the Canadian Transportation Agency (Agency), pursuant to subsection 63(1) of the Canada Transportation Act, S.C., 1996, c. 10, as amended (CTA), suspended the domestic licence of Steve Konopelky carrying on business as Konopelky Air Service (Licensee). The Agency took this action because the Licensee did not hold a valid Canadian aviation document and did not have the prescribed liability insurance coverage. The Licensee was provided with 30 days to show cause why the licence should not be cancelled.

To date, the Licensee does not hold a valid Canadian aviation document, does not have the prescribed liability insurance coverage and has failed to show cause why the licence should not be cancelled.

The Agency concludes that the Licensee does not meet the applicable requirements of the CTA.

Pursuant to subsection 63(1) of the CTA, the Agency must cancel the licence.

Accordingly, the Agency, pursuant to subsection 63(1) of the CTA, cancels the licence.
