Shanghai Airlines Co., Ltd. carrying on business as Shanghai Airlines (Licensee) is authorized to operate a scheduled international service in accordance with the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the People's Republic of China on Air Transport signed on September 9, 2005.
The Canadian Transportation Agency (Agency) finds that the Licensee does not have the prescribed liability insurance coverage.
Pursuant to subsection 72(1) of the Canada Transportation Act, S.C., 1996, c. 10, as amended (CTA), the Agency must suspend the licence.
Accordingly, the Agency suspends the licence and provides the Licensee with 30 days to show cause why the licence should not be cancelled.
