Determination No. A-2019-142
APPLICATION by British Airways Plc carrying on business as British Airways (British Airways), on behalf of itself and Air Belgium SA – (Air Belgium), pursuant to section 32 of the Canada Transportation Act, S.C., 1996, c. 10, as amended (CTA).
British Airways, on behalf of itself and Air Belgium, has applied to the Canadian Transportation Agency (Agency) to vary determination No. A-2019-81 (Determination) to permit it to operate its service until August 22, 2019.
In the Determination the Agency approved:
- the use by British Airways of aircraft with flight crew provided by Air Belgium, and the provision by Air Belgium of such aircraft and flight crew to British Airways, to permit British Airways to provide its scheduled international service on licensed routes between Canada and the United Kingdom using aircraft and flight crew provided by Air Belgium, beginning on June 9, 2019 to August 17, 2019.
British Airways states that they have amended their code-sharing agreement with Belgium Airways to extend the scheduled service until August 22, 2019.
The Agency has reviewed the application and the supporting material and finds, pursuant to section 32 of the CTA, that there has been a change in the facts or circumstances pertaining to the Determination since it was issued and that it should be varied.
Accordingly, the Agency, pursuant to section 32 of the CTA, varies the Determination to permit British Airways to operate its service until August 22, 2019.
