The Canadian Transportation Agency issues administrative monetary penalty to Flair

The Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) has issued an administrative monetary penalty (AMP) of $82,500 against Flair.

In October 2022, Flair Airlines Ltd. damaged an electric wheelchair during transport. The airline failed to immediately provide the passenger with a suitable temporary replacement at the person’s destination, and failed to arrange for the prompt and adequate repair of the wheelchair, thereby contravening subsections 155(1) and (2) of the Air Transportation Regulations.
