Porter Airlines penalized for violations of the ATPDR

The Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) has issued administrative monetary penalties totaling $120,000 against Porter Airlines for violations of the Accessible Transportation for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (ATDPR).

On September 8, 2024, Porter Airlines refused to transport a person with a disability and their service dog on a flight departing Toronto Pearson International Airport.

These contraventions relate to subsections 51(1) (4) and 60(1) of the ATPDR.

Porter Airlines has 30 days to request reviews before the Transportation Appeal Tribunal of Canada.
