Contravention
Note: Subject to a Compliance Agreement
(A) On or about June 27, 2024, at Halifax Stanfield International Airport (CYHZ), Air Canada failed to provide the passengers, by means of an audible announcement, the reason for the delay for flight number AC361, thereby contravening subsection 13(4) of the Air Passenger Protection Regulations.
(B) On or about June 27, 2024, Air Canada failed to provide passengers affected by the delay of flight AC361 scheduled to depart on June 27, 2024, the reason for the delay using the available communication method for which they had indicated a preference, including a method that is compatible with adaptive technologies intended to assist persons with disabilities, thereby contravening subsection 13(5) of the Air Passenger Protection Regulations.
Compliance Agreement
After a request by Air Canada, the Agency has agreed to enter into a compliance agreement pursuant to subsection 180.62(1) of the Canada Transportation Act.
