Fees report 2022–2023

The Service Fees Act provides the legislative framework that enables cost-effective delivery of services and, through better reporting to Parliament, improves transparency and oversight.

As of June 2023, the Canada Transportation Act (Act) was amended to include broader authorities that allows the CTA to cost recover for activities that relate to the administration and enforcement of the Act, including the regulations whose administration or enforcement is the responsibility of the CTA. These amendments require the CTA to establish fees or charges to recover all or a portion of the costs for handling eligible air travel complaints.
