Mediation can be used to facilitate dispute resolution by providing parties with an effective alternative to the more formal, court-like decision-making process of the Agency
The purpose of this guide is to explain TSPs’ obligations under the Accessible Transportation Planning and Reporting Regulations with respect to the development of progress reports. In particular, this guide explains:
- The contents of progress reports;
- The preparation of progress reports, including consulting persons with disabilities;
- The requirements for the publication of progress reports; and,
- Best practices related to progress reports.

The purpose of this document is to consult interested Canadians on the Regulations, primarily for sidings within 30 km of an interchange at origin or destination. This review does not consider the appropriateness or use of the extended interswitching provision (160 km interswitching) under subsection 127(2.1) of the Canada Transportation Act.
The annual progress report provides an update of the progress made while also continuing dialogue with persons with disabilities for the purpose of learning more about their experience and needs when they interact with the CTA.
The Financial Statements provide an accounting of the full nature and extent of the Canadian Transportation Agency's activities. They provide a statement of financial position as at March 31, a statement of operations, a statement of change in net debt, a statement of cash flows and explanatory notes for the period ending March 31. These financial statements have been prepared by management using the Government of Canada's accounting policies, which are based on Canadian public sector accounting standards.
